How we write

Zayiçe publishes in Turkish, English, German, French, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese and Italian. We treat the calculation of the sky and its astrological interpretation as two separate steps.

Method details: 7 October 2026

Which calculation method do we use?

The app's primary planetary engine is Astronomy Engine 2.1.19. If the library is unavailable, it falls back to Paul Schlyter's approximate algorithms. Planetary longitudes are geocentric and the zodiac is tropical, measured from 0° Aries around a 360° circle. The birth date and local time are converted to UTC using the time zone for that date. The ascendant and MC come from the app's angle calculation using time and location; house cusps use the Porphyry method. Changing the house system can change house placements.

Where calculation ends and interpretation begins

A planet's longitude is a calculation result. A character, relationship or life theme assigned to it is a symbolic astrological interpretation. Reproducing the astronomical calculation does not establish that the interpretation measures personality or proves future events. Sign and compatibility articles are general readings; an individual chart considers the Moon, planets, aspects and houses together. Without a birth time, the rising sign and houses cannot be fixed.

What guides the writing?

The content is published by Zayiçe. For a sign or placement, we answer the page's question first, then use an everyday example to explain the interpretation. We describe both ease and difficulty and leave room for the reader's judgment. Numerical examples name their engine and inputs. When making corrections, we check calculation details and interpretive sentences separately, keeping titles and first answers aligned with their source text.

Repeat the same calculation

This synthetic input does not describe a real person: 1 January 1990, 12:00, Istanbul; latitude 41.014°, longitude 28.95°, Europe/Istanbul. The offset on that date is UTC+2, so the calculation instant is 10:00 UTC. With Astronomy Engine loaded, the app returns:

PointEcliptic longitude
Sun280.729213°
Moon332.145764°
Ascendant16.874922°
MC278.958619°

Select the İstanbul entry for Türkiye from the city list. Degrees are measured from 0° Aries and rounded to six decimal places. You can reproduce the example by calculating a birth chart with the same date, time, location and time zone. This comparison checks the calculation output; it does not validate a personality interpretation.
