The complete 2027 moon calendar pairs every phase date with its zodiac sign and explains the repeated signs behind the year's uneven monthly pattern.
Thirteen new moons and twelve full moons make up the 2027 calendar. Capricorn stands at both ends of the list, on the January 7 new moon and again on the December 27 new moon. Eleven of the twelve months hold one entry of each phase.
New moon entries put both chart bodies in the sign printed beside the date. Full moon entries give the Moon's position alone, since the Sun holds the sign across the zodiac from it. April 2027 shows each kind in turn: the April 7 new moon gathers both bodies in Aries, and the April 20 full moon leaves the Moon in Scorpio with the Sun opposite.

Patterns in the 2027 calendar
August breaks the monthly pattern. New moons arrive on August 2 and August 31, with the August 17 full moon between them. A desk calendar gives August three marked boxes while every other monthly page carries two.
From the first line to the last, the 25 entries alternate by phase. The labels switch from new to full and back again 24 times. December 27 returns to the new moon label that opened the list.
At the calendar's midpoint, the first twelve entries end with the Sagittarius full moon on June 19. The remaining thirteen begin with the Cancer new moon on July 4. The later side receives one extra dated line, supplied by the second August new moon.
Zodiac order governs the new moon signs, running from Capricorn on January 7 to Leo on August 2, then from Virgo on August 31 back to Capricorn on December 27. Capricorn is the lone repeat. Every intervening sign appears once.
Scorpio takes two consecutive full moon entries, on April 20 and May 20. The two sit exactly 30 days apart. Nowhere else in 2027 do neighboring full moon entries repeat a sign.
Across all twelve full moon entries, the sign sequence begins with Leo and reaches Gemini by December. Cancer doesn't appear there at all. Scorpio holds two of the twelve slots. Cancer still arrives at the July 4 new moon.
The numbered dates drift across the monthly grid. January places its entries on the 7th and 22nd, while November uses the 14th and 28th. No fixed pair of day numbers carries the phases across 2027. A wall calendar marked on those four dates puts the January lines earlier in their month than the November lines.
The late full moons show the steadiest numerical run. After Scorpio's May 20 full moon, the June phase arrives on June 19. The one-day step continues each month and ends on December 13. The new moon dates close with a shorter step-down: August 31, September 30, October 29, November 28, December 27.
Three calendar quarters contain six entries apiece. July to September contains seven because August has the extra new moon. The third quarter carries one additional entry, while the other quarters remain even.
